Snoring partner can damage your health.

Scientists who monitored 140 volunteers in their homes near of four European airports found the noises penetrating the bedroom had the same effect as those emanating from the neighboring pillow. A Snoring partner will have the same effect

Yes, its true!

Apart from the health issues that are directly related to the person who snores, the bed partner is at risk too. The sleep partner is often awakened due to the loud noise, tones and frequency of snoring, while indirectly stress builds up about the snoring partner’s health issues.

A new study conducted on the effect of loud noises on sleep, has indicted that snores of a partner can actually raise the blood pressure of the bed partner. The study was based on the noise produced by snores as compared to the noise produced by a low flying aircraft. Scientists who studied and monitored 140 volunteers in their homes, close to four European airports, actually found the noise of low flying aircrafts penetrating the bedroom had the same effect, as those emanating from the neighboring pillow.

Lars Jarup, an author of the study from Imperial College London said, "We know that noise from air traffic can be a source of irritation, but research shows that it can also be damaging for people's health.”
He adds, "Our studies have shown that aircraft noises at night affect blood pressure instantly and increase the risk of hypertension."

According to European heart Journal, blood pressure goes up in direct proportion to loud noise and studies have concluded that 0.66 mm Hg for every five-decibel increase. What actually matters is not the origin of sound but the volume and frequency of noise, which is what starts to affect the bed partners of snorers. Health issues are not the prerogative of snorers but bed partners also develop health related problems due to constant sleep deprivation.

Another leading research concluded that bed partners lose over 2 hours of sleep each night due to a snoring partner. The drowsiness continues the next morning, with side effects of low concentration, poor comprehension, accidents and errors directly related to sleep deprivation. Snoring bed partners are the reason that 80% couples end up sleeping in different rooms and in the end, ruin their sex life and intimacy.
